Xích Mã is the third edition in Đình Collective’s annual red envelope series, continuing our exploration of the Can Chi system as a living design framework—an ongoing dialogue between tradition and contemporary visual language.

For us, a lunar year is defined by more than its zodiac sign (Địa Chi). It also embodies the qualities of its Thiên Can—its element within the Five Elements (Ngũ Hành) and its Yin–Yang polarity.

The series is therefore conceived as an evolving design system. Each year becomes a new iteration, while every two years the dominant palette shifts, expressing the elemental and energetic transition of that stage in the cycle.
